Biography

1974-76 Washington University, St. Louis, MO, studied Liberal Arts
1976 Moved to Toronto, Canada
1976-79 Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto, Canada, majored in painting
1979 Moved to Laguna Beach, CA
1979-81 Laguna Beach School of Art, Laguna Beach, CA, studied sculpture with Lewis Cohen, given honors scholarship
1981 Traveled to Italy, worked in scupture at the studio "Cooperative" in Pietresanta, Italy
1983 Traveled to Berlin and worked on a body of drawings depicting the people of what was then called "the dead city"
1984 Moved to Los Angeles
1985 Traveled to England and France to create a body of work for first major exhibition
1985-89 Joined Gallery 170, Los Angeles, CA
1987 Bought studio in Flavigny, France, a medieval village that served to contrast life with southern California, shared time between the two locations
1989 Moved to the Brewery in Los Angeles, worked on large works for two solo exhibitions
1990-93 Moved to Pasadena, CA, set up a studio in the historical top floor ballroom of the Castle Green
1993-97 Moved back to Laguna Beach, CA
1997 Invited to present a solo retrospective exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan
1998-99 Moved to Northhampton, Mass., set up studio in refurbished felt factory across from Smith College
1999-2005 Moved to New York City
1999-2001 MFA at the New York Academy of Art, Tribeca, New York
2001- Set up large studio in the Savoie, (French Alps), began the "Myth of Frankenstein" Series, inspired by the area where Mary Shelley wrote her famous novel almost two hundred years ago
2005 Opened a studio in the Yucatan, Mexico, began the Eggs Series
2006 Moved to the Bergamot Station Arts Center, in Santa Monica, CA.
2007 Set up a painting studio in Rustic Canyon, Santa Monica, CA.

At this time she shares her time between several locations where she develops different themes according to the influence of the location.
