Olivia Patricia Terrell O’Neal is an artist whose practice spans more than five decades, marked by a deep and sustained engagement with figurative painting, still life, portraiture, and sculptural exploration.

Educated at the Ontario College of Art and later at the New York Academy of Art—where she earned her MFA with highest honors—O’Neal has cultivated a body of work that reflects both technical mastery and intellectual rigor. Over the course of her career, her work has been exhibited internationally and featured widely in curatorial and editorial publications, affirming her place among artists committed to the enduring relevance of the human experience, material intelligence, and narrative presence in contemporary art.

She has been featured in Art Celebrity Magazine and Contemporary Art Collectors (Summer 2025), and has garnered multiple honors from ArtAscent: Art & Literature Journal, including front cover features and Gold and Distinguished Artist Awards across several issues between 2014 and 2025. O’Neal’s academic background reflects a strong foundation in both fine art and liberal studies. She earned her MFA with highest honors from the New York Academy of Art, following earlier studies in painting, sculpture, and drawing at institutions including the Ontario College of Art, Laguna Beach College of Art, and Washington University in St. Louis. Her education also includes independent study in Berlin and sculptural work in Pietrasanta, Italy, experiences that contributed to the development of her multidisciplinary approach.
